Suroscopia is a project of the University of Cordoba, included in the Atalaya programme of the Andalusian Regional Government, which since 2011 has been creating an international network of audiovisual creators from invited Spanish and Latin American public universities. It is more than a festival. It is a learning space, a dissemination platform, a creative experience.
The work carried out for this university competition was developed over 3 editions. Ohayō’s support consisted in the revision of the Suroscopia brand story, the annual image design, the application to the elements, the communication on social media, the advice on the selection of professionals for the final seminar and the support office for the management of the competition and institutional contacts.
The design developments have evolved to give more presence to the Suroscopia brand, establishing a code that ensures coherence in the different applications where it is used and improves brand recognition. In this latest edition 7, a tagline has been created to accompany the brand and extend its meaning beyond the competition: Suroscopia. Miradas por Revelar (Looks to Reveal). Ohayō also contributed to find funding for the new Suroscopia website, which was launched in this 7th edition.
Over the course of these three editions, the scope of the project has been extended to include invited Latin American universities, thus emphasising the expanded notion of the ‘South’ that is at the heart of Suroscopia. Participation in the 6th edition increased by 47%, reaching a total of 437 short films submitted in the history of the event in the 7th edition.
